Morning everyone

Goodness - it seems like this forum is dead... I hope its because we are all hybernating - hopefully it'l get better when winter passes....

I have a question... Are eggs bad for you? My colleagues are giving me a lit about eating eggs daily and I do eat them every morning - they say eggs cause cholesterol, a while back I was sure Dr OZ said that its a myth that eggs cause cholesterol, but now i'd rather be sure....

any input?

Hi MsP

My theory is that the "research findings" change regularly because they depend on who's funding the research!
Chicken farmers will tell you they're good for you, cereal manufacturers will promote the theory that they're bad...

I have heard theories that the white is good and the yolk is bad... but my take on it is that all's fair in moderation and that the best one can do is eat organic eggs to try and get as natural a food as possible.
(Even that doesn't guarantee that the chickens have a GMO-free diet; but unfortunately, without supervising the entire food-chain we just can't know what's in our food.)

As for how many a week - you'll have to Google it, and I'm pretty sure it differs from person to person, but I think 3-4 per week is within the generally accepted guidelines.

Good luck!

Thanks Ms.B

I went onto Google yesterday and it seems like even though eggs are high in colesterol, its the kind of cholesterol that we need, they are good for us - they say they have not done research on someone that can eat more than 3 eggs a day (that's what an average person consumes) so they cannot put numbers on it - however 3 eggs a day is still okay.

So i'l keep eating my eggs, I have egss and steak in the morning for breakfast - and i've just realised that I dont eat any dinner at all (hence i'm always hungry in the morning) cos DH is not home, am too lazy to cook for 1 person

Hi Lelanie

Mine is at a stand still - i honestly dont know what's happening with my weight - when i'm not actively trying to lose weight, it goes down, when I do try to lose it - it goes up or remain at a stand still

Ladies

How's the weight-loss going... I have to say, its shameful how I havent done anything - and I mean anything towards losing weight - I think i'm going to give in and just drag myself to gym...

Groupon has a special on Rock-Climbing i've bought 1 deal for 2 people, my friend and I will be going - maybe that will get me back to fitness

Losing 5kgs sure is hard....
