Default Breastfeeding and AF

HI ladies,

I am still partially breastfeeding. AF still not around, but AF cramps for the last week. For the breastfeeding moms, how long did it take for AF to arrive after you stopped/partially stopped breastfeeding?

Hi Jasmyntjie

I was on the Mirena so mine didn't return until now but according to the girls on my mom forum it doesn't take long. It's even normal to have AF whilst breastfeeding.

LOL ladies, you are funny! With my DH already away for 3weeks, I don't think so. Have been having AF cramps for more than a week. I actually did a test last week, as I have got the cramps but it was BFN. Sure it is just my cycles starting to return.

Will keep you updated!

Jooste u make me laugh, I almost went and bought another test at lunch, while I was busy looking for them in the shop, a friend of mine walked in, so I just left and got back to work. No, I think this time around chances are really really slim. I have read on google that people breastfeeding can get phantom periods. However, this has lasted now more than a week, normally I have a 5 day cycle. Plus I am bloated. Anyway, hormones can cause strange things!

Hi all,
My AF returned after 9 months, when I started to give additional food.
Good luck
