Morning!

All doing great this morning. How are your 2 Lelanie?

Lelanie, yes C was loving the cake at that party. She normally does not worry about the snacks at a party but on this one she stayed behind after everyone went off to play again and ate some more!! Poor kid did not have a chance with both mom & dad having sweet teeth!

Hi ladies,

I have a horrid flu but fortunately, the girls haven't caught it. On my way to get myself more meds and start drugginh myself.

I hope you had an awesome weekend with the kids!

Elvera, it sounds like C had an awefully wonderful time! She must have been on such a sugar rush.

Good Morning

How are you all doing? And the kiddies?

Keisha - how are you feeling today? Hope the drugs helped!! I am soooo ready for winter to be over!!

Lelanie - how are you? And the babsies?

Elvera - so sweet!! Pics are gorgeous!! How is she doing?

Twins are doing good - just soooo cold this morning!! I think Gavi is getting a tooth also - he was so irritable yesterday - and when i put some teejel on he was pulling faces - not sure if he was sore or didnt like the taste?! At least they both slept last night though!! Quick question - I want to get new car seats for them - dont think our current ones are sufficient - any suggestions? Which are the best and safest to get? Also thinking of getting isofix - any ideas on that? Can all cars take it?

Hi Aviva No idea on car seats, I bought a Safeway one Maxi Cosi I think but have not installed it, J is still in his rear facing seat - need to change him soon though as he is over 9kg's already

Hope it is a toofie, they look so cute with that little piece of white on the gum!

J seems to be going through a phase of seperation anxiety - only wants mommy, esp in the evenings

Keisha - Hope you are feeling better by now

Hi Lelanie

I am stressing because I dont trust the seats we have now... when we went to toysrus it was all they had but i dont think they are so safe... I was looking online - the Graco looks nice - but cant find the one I like in SA... and it is so much cheaper in US...

Thats sweet - kinda nice to know they know who we are... sometimes I think the twins - esp Shoshi - prefers their nanny

I hope it is a toofie!! I can kinda feel something on his gum - so I am sure something will come through soon!! I hope!!

How is J's sleeping going? we were ok last night - but the 2 nights before that wasnt good... Shoshi - who usually sleeps so well was up too... and Gavi keeps waking up for his dummy... Does J have a dummy? Looks like G is an early riser as well - always ready to get up and play!!

Morning

Yeah J wakes up a couple of times for his dummy, normally twice sometimes 3 times a night - no idea what happened to my "sleep through" baby

Morning!

Aviva, we had the Chicco Eletta car seat for Carla. It is from 0-18kg. It is rear and front facing so you can still have them facing backwards for a while if you prefer. I liked it because it has 4 reclining positions and could go back the flattest of all the seats. Isofix only fits in the cars with Isofix fittings. Although my car has Isofix, I went for this one. This is a very safe chair as it's been tested and proven We were hit by a truck end of March and on the side Carla was sitting!!! That chair did not bend or crack and Carla only had marks on her face from the shattered glass.

Although the seat is very safe, we decided that when it comes to safety, we are not going to look at money. My husband decided after the accident that we should get the best and safest car seat currently on the market and that is Recaro. They are not that expensive if you compare it to some of the prices of car seats. We bought this one:

Young Sport (Group 1-3)
The new RECARO Young Sport provides your child with a new kind of 5-point harness system that guarantees "growing" safety for age group I (approx. 9 months to 12 years). As the backrest is adjusted to size, the harnesses are automatically moved into the correct position, thus affording your child optimum protection. As your child grows, simply remove the harnesses. Your child is then secured by the vehicle's 3-point harness.

They even installed it for me and showing how I should measure Carla in it for it's optimum size and protection.

Hope this helps a bit?

Elvera - thanks so much - that really does help!! So that is pretty much the safest one on the market? I saw it online - it really isnt that much more than the Graco that I was looking at... Can I ask you where you bought yours?
