Jas - Well done on the potty training, you must be so proud. Such a big milestone achieved. And I am sure you are glad the move is over? Are you settled in now? Moving is hectic and then having guests every day, grrr! Hectic!

Helen, LOL at the pic of your cat, that is so funny, hahaha! Reece fought his nap that day and eventually, exhausted, he fell asleep like that hahaha. When is your IVF? How is Annie now? We are going to Ballito, someone else also said we must definitely go to the Flag Far, so we definitely will take Reece there and pop to the Mall for lunch. Thanks for the tips.

Keisha - Thanks for the compliments, how are your kiddies? Are you TTC for another?

Yay for Friday, have a great weekend ladies. School starts on Monday

Natsk/Jas: I did the IVF in Dec which failed. We only put back 1 embryo and froze the other one. We are now going to attempt to put back the one that we froze. I say "attempt" because they must first see if it survives the thawing process. That is unfortunately not guaranteed. I will have to go on estrogen tablets when my next cycle starts (around 15 Jan), and then when my body is ready (probably 14-16 days later) they will attempt to thaw the embryo. If it survives it will be put back, if not I go home grumpy. If that doesn't work I'm taking a hiatus until +-May and then do a fresh IVF from scratch. So that's my plan in a nutshell.

Natsk Ballito is lovely, you will enjoy it so much. It is such a beautiful lovely town.

Hi ladies,

Jas, congrats on the new house! I obviously missed all those news... Are you settled in now? Do you have to change the kids' schools or are they still close enough?

Natsk, the kids are great. MissK has quite the attitude lately, but I'm working on it and Kay is getting cuter with her speech, by the day... We were TTC till October, then we gave up... I'm not on any contraception, but we're not actively trying. Going onto contraceptives from March...

Helen, GL with your FET, I hope the thawing process goes well.

AFM: Not looking forward to going back to work...

Morning Ladies

It was rough dropping Reece off at the new school this morning he cried a lot (and so did I).
And he is not allowed to drink milk there during the day, juice only. I hope he manages. I guess it's a good thing though. Can't wait for the day to end so I can fetch him.

How is everyone?

Hey everyone!
So much news about the new things happening in january!! I'm so glad you all are back safe and sound and also feel that your children are driving you mad somedays.

(thanks for sharing ! - makes me feel less like a lunatic running about!) Lee got another smack on her bum today (without the nappy this time).
She has a new tendency to cry and kick whenever I want to change her nappy. And - she does it everytime Mr. M has gone down for a nap (which is still so damm hard to get him to sleep). He then wakes with all her screaming and tantrumming and I just lost it today. Night time wakings have been particularly bad the last few days (growth spurt!). I'm a zombie. She got a really hard smack and was whimpering for long afterwards.

Feel really bad!

Good morning all,

Ai, Jooste. Don't take it so hard. We all lose it sometime and a smack is a smack and it is necessary when they throw tantrums. I hope Mr. M gets better at nap times. Do you have a nanny now? If so, maybe you can sneak away from 2 hours for a nap, while she takes over.

Mel, is A going to the same day mother? Good luck on Wednesday.

Natsk, hopefully the tears will get better by the end of this week.

I started work again on Monday after a month of leave and I'm not exactly excited... The girls are going back to school on Wednesday and this time they'll be in the same school which makes life a little easier, except that the school is now 45 minutes away...

Jooste.. ai jong.. she is testing your limits. Lee is at a very difficult age. It is your task as her mom to teach discipline. We have the difficult job, it is not just play and happiness. How are you juggling it all with work? Are you coping?

Keisha Boo for being back at work. Why is the school so far? Did you go for a specific type of school like montessori?

Natsk hugs to you.. hope he settles quickly.

PS Ladies, I found this interesting article about discipline. I can't really comment much because my LG is still a bit young for all of it, but maybe it could be useful for the older kiddies?

Keisha
Horrible to be back at work after a month's absense! Trust your first day is not too bad. GL with tomorrow. I'm dreading and looking forward to the day when Lee will be going off to school. It will break my heart to leave her there, but will also give me some extra bonding time with Mr. M.

Helen
Thanks for the article. Will have a look at it later today. Have you started with meds yet?
